The donation of equipment included a high throughput automated DNA RNA Extractor and Purification System which has a robotic arm for the dispensing of fluids thereby increasing both the productivity and the integrity of the testing being done. A range of other equipment was also supplied in coordination with the Sri Lanka Army Hospital. The equipment is now all installed and operational at the new PCR laboratory of the Army Hospital. A formal handover was made to the Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva by a delegation from the JAAF.
